Just a quick note that I'll be moderating a panel discussion at the upcoming UniJapan Entertainment Forum (October 25-27), which launches this year during the TIFFCOM market. The topic of the discussion, which takes place on the morning of October 27th, is "Film Journalists Discussion: European Films in the Japanese Market" (日本語). Aside from looking at the difficult situation art films and European imports currently face here, the international panel will share thoughts on the circumstances in their own territories, new business models in the independent sector, and future possibilities. The talk will be followed by a Q&A session.

I like your blog, and am contacting you regarding research for a new book I’m writing for ThingsAsian Press. I am looking for insights and quotable comments from individuals who have worked in Japan. I’m gathering information on a variety of fields, such as teaching, technology, office-based business, consultant services, visual arts, music, culinary arts, martial arts, entertainment, fashion, volunteer work, etc.
If you are interested in participating in this project, please respond and I will send you a questionnaire. The reward for your efforts will include writer’s credits and bio, plus six copies of the published book.
Looking forward to your reply….Celeste
