The first year back in Tokyo has come and gone...blindingly quick. Finding and moving into a new place to live last month was quite an effort, hence the radio silence. The Tokyo International Film Festival has come and gone and its younger, more artistic, more attractive counterpart (or rather, counterpoint) Tokyo FILMeX will wrap up in a few days. I've done work for both and written pieces related to both. I've finally found a useful purpose for that "links" logo on the main page: I've put links to stuff I've written so far that's on the 'net.
And a "hello" to everyone who was out last weekend for that all-nighter, including pinkueiga directors "Jean-Luc" Zeze and Toshiki Sato (half of the "Four Kings / Devils"), Kazushi Watanabe (director of 19) and his foreign distributor Phillipe (thanks for the drinks), John Williams, Stephen Cremin, Jasper, Robert Schwartz, et al.
